Cathedral City is a resort city located in the Coachella Valley. Nestled in between Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage this city has a number of great gated and non-gated communities and has recently become home to the latest Agua Caliente Casino / Resort.
The stunning City Hall and surrounding business are a hard to miss hub for the Coachella Valley and sit proudly on Highway 111 the main intercity through-fair for the valley. With a population of 51,200 (2010 census) with over 17,000 homes with children, this community has a larger base of family households than other cities in the desert.
This centrally located city has recently gained a reputation as an up and coming place to live in the desert, due to the more affordable housing, family friendly reputation and support for the LGBT community.
The city is home to some great amenities like the Mary Pickford Theatre, Agua Caliente Casino and Resort, the Fountain of Life statue, shopping and some really great restaurants. This bustling downtown core has made it a hub for desert residents from all over the valley.
